Seminoma Stage II and Lymphedema

Testicular Support,

In early August I discovered I had testiclar cancer - seminoma stage
II AFTER months of sever back pain and then the development of
lymphedema in my lower body.

At this point I am in the middle of my fourth session of chemo and my
oncologist is starting to believe we are heading for a cancer
remission after this.

The only thing is that the lymphedema is still present. Generally the
swelling goes down a lot during chemo but swells again in the weeks
between chemo sessions. I can lose up to 15 pounds of water from my
legs
in only three days of chemo but no one here can tell be why! I'm
beginning to
get very concerned with this condition especially after seeing some
videos
about lymphedema and learning about its lack of medical research.

I have not been able to make talk with anyone else who experienced the
lymphedema problem as a result of TC through any contacts I have here.
I am hoping that you may know someone who has had a similar condition
and could email me directly at ***@gmail.com or through this
group.

Best Regards,

Hi TJB

I was born with lymphedema, but also have a strange situation where I
also experience secondary lymphedema due to lymphoma. I'm going
through monthly chemo for the next two years.

If I can answer any questions or be of any help on the lymphedema,
please let me know.

We have a Google group "All About Lymphedema" and a main website
Lymphedema People at http://www.lymphedemapeople.com.

Hoping for the very best for you.
